The Early Childhood Center Welcomes Teachers Erin Ford and Christi Lovejoy
December 12, 2016
The ECC is delighted to announce that Erin Ford has accepted our offer to join the ECC as the Mentor Teacher in the Younger Toddler classroom. Erin has a master's degree in Early Childhood Special and General Education from The Bank Street College of Education in NYC. She comes to us from the Boulder Day Nursery where she worked most recently as the Lead Teacher in the two year old class. Erin believes that "children learn best when they are active members of a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning community." She has many years of experience facilitating children's cooperative play in a way that supports their social skill development and contributes to the classroom's culture of acceptance and respect. The ECC is excited to have her on board. Erin's first day at the ECC was December 1, 2016.
The ECC is also delighted to announce that Christi Lovejoy has accepted our offer of promotion from Assistant Teacher to Classroom Teacher in the Younger Preschool Classroom (Room 106). Christi will officially take on her new title on January 1, 2017. Christi has been a part of the ECC team since August of 2015 when she joined as a practicum student. She was hired as an Assistant Teacher in January of 2016 and earned her bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies in August of 2016. This past semester she was teamed with Mentor Teacher Jessica Knudsen in Room 106.
